Anonymous threatens to expose identities of KKK members

The hacking group Anonymous is threatening to pull the hoods off of 1,000 Ku Klux Klan members as part of an on-going battle between two groups.

Anonymous created the Twitter site Operation KKK (@Operation_KKK) opening it with a poll asking followers to vote on whether or not to reveal the identity of around 1,000 KKK members. The poll's countdown clock indicates the information will be released on Oct. 29.

The feud between the KKK and Anonymous began during the unrest in Ferguson, Mo. last year  when the Klan said it would attack the Ferguson protesters, an NBC story said. Anonymous then hacked a KKK-linked account grabbing member names and media account information.

“After closely observing so many of you for so very long, we feel confident that applying transparency to your organizational cells is the right, just, appropriate and only course of action,” Anonymous said in a blog post.
