Editorial: Help us keep SC at the cutting edge

You can't stop change, but you can help define it. SC Magazine has been around for well over 20 years now. And, as the leading information resource for everything cyber security, we've covered it all – from 1992's ‘Michelangelo' virus to 1999's ‘Melissa' worm to today's APTs, hacktivist attacks, compliance mandates and more.

We're all about arming information security pros, like you, with the timely insight you need. Through our hardcopy editions and websites, ebooks, newsletters and digital and live events – such as the SC Awards – you gain all the relevant information you need to safeguard your organisations and, ultimately, contribute to their longevity and success.

We will continue to give you what you need, but we'll be making some changes for the better in the coming months. So, please stay on the lookout for those and offer me some feedback as they happen. Meantime, I'd love to hear your thoughts now on SC Magazine, its website and events. Tell me what you think works and, maybe, what you could do without.

As well, we're looking to reinvigorate our Editorial Advisory Board. We're seeking out members who will be at the ready to provide some vigorous feedback on our products and direction and show a willingness to contribute their expertise in other ways. Just as in the US, we're striving to enlist a mix of industry practitioners and are recruiting active CISO/CSO types from end-user companies, technologists and researchers from IT security vendors and service providers, as well as analysts and consultants. If you're interested, please get in touch.

Changes are afoot, for sure. The goal, as always, is to answer your needs while evolving our well-rooted footing in this vibrant marketplace as your go-to, independent information resource. SC Magazine is well-regarded for providing both the business and technical information you need to tackle the countless security challenges you face. Taking time to listen to how you think we're doing only helps us to stay the course. So, please, let me hear from you!
