India and US to enhance global cyber-security
India and the US have committed to a strong partnership in regard to cyber issues to increase global cyber-security and promote the digital economy. The two countries have recognised various opportunities for increased collaboration of cyber-security capacity building, research and development, combating cyber-crime, international security and internet governance.
According to a joint statement issued after a two-day 2015 India-United States Cyber Dialogue in Washington, the two countries also intend to seek a multitude of follow-on activities to boost their cyber-security partnership and achieve solid outcomes.
The delegations reviewed a range of issues including cyber-threats, information sharing, incident management, cooperation in efforts to combat cyber-crime and more.
The US-India Business Council said senior business leaders shared their views on cyber challenges with senior Indian and US government officials.
It is in the interest of all parties to continue to engage in dialogues that spur policy developments and economic growth,” said USIBC president Mukesh Aghi.
