Panda offers device control and malware quarantine in new version of Cloud Office Protection
Panda Security has released the new version of Cloud Office Protection, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) endpoint security solution offering device-control technology.
Claiming that it enhances security and productivity, it said Cloud Office Protection 6.0's device-control technologies are designed to prevent the spread of malware through the improper use of external devices.
It said the controls allow organisations to improve productivity by enforcing policies to deny access, force read-only access, or grant total access on multiple device types (USB flash drives, digital cameras, DVDs and more) through the Cloud Office Protection web-based console.
Its infrastructure is fully hosted in the cloud, with the new version hosted in Windows Azure.
Among the features is the Malware Freezer that stores detected malware for a week, places it in quarantine and protects the system in the event of a false positive.
