Rapport secure browsing technology adopted by Metro Bank

Metro Bank has implemented the Rapport secure browsing service to protect customers.

Metro Bank, the first new financial institution on the high street in over 100 years, has selected Rapport to protect its online banking customers. According to Trusteer, when a user browses to sensitive websites, such as internet banking, webmail or online payment pages, Rapport locks down the browser and creates a secure tunnel for safe communication with the website.

Also when a customer uses their bankcard to make an online purchase from a computer protected by Trusteer, the Rapport service automatically detects the action and then prevents fraudsters from intercepting the card number and protects any other personal information entered by the user into the web page, according to the company.
