SanDisk announces technology alliance
Industry alliance designed to make it easier for partners to check compatibility and interoperability of products.
The SanDisk Enterprise Solutions Technology Alliance (SESTA) will allow partner organisations to assess their products in relation to SanDisk’s portable hardware and management software, according to the firm.
The partnership also intends to promote and raise awareness of best practices in endpoint and portable data security and act as a resource for IT professionals to learn how the tools of the partner companies work together. The founding companies that form the alliance include McAfee, RSA, VeriSign, Citrix and Check Point.
“We hope SESTA will be a launch pad for numerous strategic and technology alliances among partners to help our mutual customers cope with their ongoing security challenges,” said Roy Ramati, vice-president and general manager of the enterprise division at SanDisk in a statement.
California-based SanDisk was founded in 1988 as a supplier of flash memory data storage products.
