This year's Security B-Sides London conference will include three SC Magazine Europe Awards-nominated speakers.

The sold-out event, to be held at The Barbican on 25 April, will include presentations from BH Consulting's Brian Honan and KPMG's Stephen Bonner, both nominated for SC Magazine's Information Security Person of the Year award, and Realex Payments' David Rook, who is shortlisted for the Rising Star award.

Soraya Viloria Montes de Oca, co-organiser of Security B-Sides London, said that around 60 talks were submitted for the event and tickets sold out in record time. “This really energises the organisers and lets us know that many others feel the same way and want the event to happen. We're thankful to the ongoing support from the information security community and also the sponsors who also see the value in Security B-Sides and help to make it happen,” she said.

“We are hoping the participants will not only enjoy the day, but also go away having learnt more about the industry. We're really thrilled about being able to offer participants talks, free YubiKeys and free tickets to some of the best security conferences in Europe, including 44Con, Brucon and Hashdays.”

The Yubikey is a USB dongle and an authentication solution that can be combined with OpenID or other third-party websites to provide secure authentication on the web. All delegates will receive a YubiKey after its creator was confirmed as a sponsor of the event.

Fredrik Thulin, open source manager at Yubico, said: “Influential engineers are very important to us. We are sponsoring Security B-Sides London to share YubiKeys with people we know can appreciate their combination of usability and great security.”

This year's sponsors for B-Sides London include KPMG, Qualys, MWR InfoSecurity, Realex Payments, Prolexic and Mimecast. The conference agenda is available here.
