The man accused of hacking into Pippa Middleton’s iCloud account is now wanted by US authorities for allegedly blackmailing healthcare companies.
In 2016, 37-year-old Nathan Wyatt was cleared of charges claiming he gained unauthorised access to Middleton’s iCloud account and stole more than 3,000 pictures which were then hawked to several newspapers in the following weeks, according to The Sun.
Authorities claim Wyatt used the same name The Dark Overlords to demand ransoms for data he stole from at least four companies on new charges. Wyatt has already served three years for blackmailing a law firm in the UK and for unrelated credit card fraud charges.
Wyatt is now facing extradition to the US at Westminster magistrates’ court later this month. The prosecuting attorney Daniel Sternburg said Wyatt set up multiple accounts to extort the companies and is being charged in the conspiracy.
