Apple has released the latest security update iOS version 7.0.4 which fixes a vulnerability that allowed users making App and In-App purchases to complete the transaction without providing a password.

Apple has released the latest security update for its iOS operating system.

iOS version 7.0.4 fixes vulnerability CVE-2013-5193, which allowed users making App and In-App purchases to complete the transaction without providing a password.

Apple recommends applying the update immediately. It is available through iTunes and Software Update for the Apple iPhone 4 and later, iPod touch (fifth generation) and later and the iPad 2 and later.

Previous security updates to version 7 fixed iPhone passcode lockscreen failings.
