Anti-Virus company Trend Micro has announced that it will add technology from IPS provider Third Brigade into its current endpoint security product OfficeScan 8,0.

Anti-Virus company Trend Micro has announced that it will add technology from IPS provider Third Brigade into its current endpoint security product OfficeScan 8,0.

The US firm plans to integrate the technology using the extensible plug-in architecture currently available in the endpoint security software.

The technologies that will be added to the product are an advanced firewall, packet inspection technology and a security update service.

The modified software will include anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall and host intrusion defence.
