Ipswitch File Transfer division has announced the latest version of the WS_FTP Server and the new WS_FTP Server Corporate.
The new version offers customers a scalable and compliant suite of secure file transfer solutions as it offers 256-bit AES encryption and FIPS 140-2 Validated Cryptography.
Elsewhere LDAP External Authentication offers support for LDAP authentication with automatic failover, IP Lockout automatically or manually blocks IP addresses that generate consecutive failed login attempts and Secure Copy (SCP2) that offers support for file transfers over encrypted SCP2 connections.
The WS_FTP Server 7 Corporate contains additional premium capabilities such as FIPS 140-2 validated cryptography, support for LDAP external authentication and support for encrypted transfers over SCP2 protocol.
It also includes the WS_FTP Server Web Transfer Module, which allows authorised users to securely connect to WS_FTP Server via their browser over HTTP/S in order to share information easily over the web without needing to install desktop file transfer software.
Kevin Gillis, vice president Product Management, Ipswitch File Transfer division, said: “This family of WS_FTP Server 7 solutions is the next step in our technology evolution. Many of our SMB and Midmarket sized customers initially deployed our basic WS_FTP Server solution. But over time, we've seen them migrate upwards to the more robust WS_FTP Server with SSH, and now, our premium WS_FTP Server Corporate.”
