Three London hospitals have shut down their entire computer systems after being hit by a virus.

Three London hospitals have shut down their entire computer systems after being hit by a virus.

 

St Bartholomew's in the City, the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel and The London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green have been affected and will remain offline for at least 24 hours.

 

A spokesman said well-rehearsed emergency procedures were in place, though he could not say whether patient services, including scheduled procedures, had been affected by the glitch.
