The latest version of the secure web gateway from M86 Security has been announced to incorporate reporting capabilities.
The company said that M86 Secure Web Gateway 10.0, available later this month, now integrates with M86 Security Reporter 3.0 to deliver security reporting capabilities that provide visibility into an organisation's web traffic.
According to M86, it offers central reporting for all onsite and remote user data, helping organisations meet regulatory compliance and legal discovery requirements, as well as providing proactive notification and security analytics. It also said that this version provides a security and filtering option with the M86 Web Filter List.
William Kilmer, chief marketing officer at M86 Security, said: “The latest version of our secure web gateway offers customers the most comprehensive, accurate real-time technologies available for protection against dynamic web threats. Whether on site or utilising the network remotely, we offer a security policy and real-time protection from web threats that are consistent across the organisation and reporting is consolidated for complete visibility into an entire entity's web traffic.”
Further enhancements include: the M86 Secure Web Service Hybrid capability that extends the real-time security protection of on-premise to mobile and remote workers, as well as branch offices; a Dynamic Web Repair addition that ensures access to job-related web content even if the web page in use is infected; and Granular Social Media Control to give organisations the power to block posts, comments, or uploads to social media sites such as Facebook, while allowing employees to use other site functions.
Richard Swann, head of IT at the Institute of Directors, said: “M86 continues to provide us with an unsurpassed security offering with real-time code analysis and behavioural security helping us to maintain a high level of staff productivity, while allowing us to efficiently manage our network needs. The continued enhancements to the M86 Secure Web Gateway demonstrate superb technical knowledge and a deep understanding of the challenges organisations face daily and how the right tools can help a company gain the most advanced technologies available for protection against dynamic web threats.”
