US-based solutions provider Bomgar has expanded remote support to Android mobile devices.

US-based support solutions provider Bomgar has expanded remote support to Android mobile devices.

According to the company, the Bomgar Android Client allows IT support representatives to securely support end-users with smartphones or tablets powered by Google's Android platform. It also said that it allows IT support to securely chat with, transfer files to and from and view the system information of end-users with an Android smartphone or tablet.

Troy Harrison, VP of product management at Bomgar, said: “Today's employees and customers want to use their smartphone or tablet of choice to conduct business, challenging IT teams to support an ever-increasing variety of mobile devices and platforms.

“Providing the ability to support almost any type of mobile device, including Android, from a single remote support solution is part of Bomgar's continuing commitment to offer the most robust multi-platform solutions for remote support.”
