Programmers with an eye on a mobile solution can win a cash prize, training and a starring role at next year's CeBIT exhibition.
The CODE_n initiative was launched this week by IT solutions provider GFT Technologies. Start-ups have the chance to be awarded the prize and presented at the technology show next year.
Start-ups with creative IT-based solutions have until 30 November to submit their applications. The winner will receive €25,000 and two years of coaching by managers of partner companies, which currently include Deutsche Messe, Ernst & Young (its German member firms), Fujitsu Technology Solutions and the German ICT sector association BITKOM.
According to GFT, the aim of CODE_n is to seek out and promote the world's most innovative start-ups involved in the development of new business models for the internet or mobile devices.
Graham Underwood, GTF UK managing director, said: “British businesses have always been at the forefront of innovation. We're looking to celebrate this innovative approach to technology with the CODE_n contest and support young companies in their drive to develop new ideas in the mobile sector.”
