Tanium has appointed Chris Bream as its new chief technology officer.

Bream, formerly of Facebook, will take over his new role directly from Orion Hindawi, co-founder and CEO of Tanium. While at Facebook, he oversaw the company's product security, infrastructure security, and information security policy and risk teams. He has also led incident response teams.

In a statement, Hindawi said the CTO needed to be a full time role from now on, “with a leader who can be 100 percent focused on listening and learning as well as teaching and leading.”

“Chris is an ideal fit for Tanium, with experience in both security and on the operational side of large-scale enterprise. He also comes with a track record helping high-growth organisations scale and has led teams comprising some of the best technical talent in the world.”
