The Danish software developer, Danware, has recently opened a UK office in Reading under the name of its wholly owned subsidiary, NetOp Tech Ltd.

This move highlights Danware's desire to expand and develop the NetOp brand in the UK, whilst providing the company with improved facilities for supporting partners and customers already based in this country.

Overseas markets make up more than 90% of Danware's annual turnover and the firm has recently launched similar subsidiaries in Germany and the US. The UK was chosen as the base for another office as, with already an excess of 2,000 customers present there, the country is one of the company's top three markets. It is expected that the newly opened office will play a key part in the growth of the company as a whole.

To look after this development is Mike Kibblewhite who has been appointed as NetOp Tech's country manager. Having previously been involved with the expansion of the Microsoft EMEA sales channel and corporate marketing, and having worked as the UK sales manager and international sales director at Primavera, Kibblewhite comes with a great deal of experience in the software industry.

He is confident that having an established presence in the UK will be beneficial for the NetOp brand. "The UK market is critical for our success as a company. At the moment, we're actively looking to build up our network right across the UK and Ireland, and recruit those with the right skills and experience to sell our software."

Security products included in the Danware range include the NetOp Netfilter and the NetOp Desktop Firewall, which helps to monitor processes and communication on computers.
