The UK's leading engineering support services organisation has selected mobile device management from Good Technology for its 27,000-strong workforce.
Among the UK's leading engineering support services, Babcock has overhauled its mobility model to address the growing adoption of iOS and Android mobile devices among its workforce and associated IT security issues, having upgraded from a BlackBerry-led enterprise model.
Simon Parker, CIO at Babcock, said: “The adoption of Good's services is a timely move for us and our ongoing commitment to operational excellence. We recognise that our employees, more than ever before, are introducing a wider range of devices and platforms into the workplace. We needed an efficient and effective solution to meet that growing trend.”
The Good for Enterprise solution allows a choice of devices to be managed, a secure infrastructure with no outbound firewall holes or VPN required and controlled access within the corporate firewall, as well as enterprise data-loss prevention for consumer applications.
Andrew Jacques, general manager of Good Technology UK, said: “We are thrilled to incorporate a global leader like Babcock into our growing customer base who value excellence in mobile enterprise security and data management. Our customers are embracing device choice in the enterprise space to enhance and expand the productivity and mobility of their workforce.”
