Entrust has unveiled a new version of its email security solution.

Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server 9.0 allows users to encrypt and decrypt messages and can be used as a host by a Microsoft Exchange server, the company said.

The hardware-based product hosts its own certificate authority (CA), which allows external email recipients to download a decryption certificate to receive secure messages.

This can be done using various applications, such as Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes, according to Entrust. It can also be used as part of an existing CA.

Additional features include a message-tracking interface, system dashboard and security reporting tools, plus a new mobile browser screen that allows remote workers using web-enabled mobile phones to access emails.

It also provides IT administrators with usage reports, according to an Entrust statement.

Pricing was unavailable at the time of going to press.
