What is the SC Forum:
The SC Forum exists to facilitate new business connections between suppliers and buyers of cyber-security products and services in an educational context. The event uniquely matches senior security professionals with expert suppliers through a series of tailored matched one–to–one meetings with vendors from specific product categories. The one day event will also provide cut-through content sessions and quality networking.
Theme: Why 'Beyond Compliance'?
GDPR, NIST, PCI and other regulations are driving compliance in cyber-security and finally getting boardrooms to engage in the need to spend on this vital risk category. But compliance isn’t security and best practice requires companies to go beyond tick-box exercises, for while compliance may avoid fines in the event of a breach, it can’t fix financial losses and reputational damage - that can have career and company ending impacts. We’ll be looking at what true best practice comprises, meeting both compliance requirements and providing a realistic response to actual risks faced - including recovery strategies.
