(ISC)2 is inviting businesses and consumers to download free security awareness materials.
Provided by some of the organization's certified members, the materials are designed to help general audiences understand security threats and how to deal with them. The software is available via its Cyber Exchange.
John Colley, CISSP, managing director EMEA for (ISC)2, said: “As a global not-for-profit organisation, it is (ISC)2's responsibility to not only develop information security professionals in all parts of the world, but also to promote best secure computing practices by everyone.
“The materials in the Cyber Exchange, provided by our certified experts, are designed to educate end-users and teach citizens how to better protect themselves.
Dr David King, chair of the Information Security Awareness Forum, said: “The Cyber Exchange will help to plug an important gap for many organisations who may not have the resources or wherewithal to develop materials for their own awareness and education campaigns. The ISAF warmly welcomes the provision of free materials for this purpose.”
