FutureSoft has announced the release of version eight of the DynaComm PointGuard that now includes an anti-virus element.

Alongside the existing anti-spyware component, it also features cleaning and quarantining, with powerful threat recognition and removal, allowing IT managers to control access to files, applications and removable devices without harming business flexibility.

Tim Farrell, FutureSoft's CEO and co-founder, said: “DynaComm PointGuard's unique combination of real-time event reporting and logging, coupled with extensive and customisable management reporting ensures complete visibility to security events and policy enforcement, 24/7, tracking and logging who has access to sensitive data. Even remote systems, such as on-the-road laptops, can continue to be monitored and secured, even when they are no longer connected to the network.”
