Google's Gmail service has been made unavailable for the second time in a month.

Following the last outage at the end of February, when it was unavailable to all users for several hours when routine maintenance in a data centre caused cascading problems from one data centre to another, Google's email service has been hit once again.

Google said in a statement of the current problem: “We're aware of a problem with Gmail affecting a small subset of users. The affected users are having difficulty accessing their accounts. The team is working as quickly as they can to resolve the problem. We know how important email is to our users, so we take issues like this very seriously.”
