Good Technology and RSA have announced a partnership to enhance mobile application security and integrate authentication technology into mobile device management software.
RSA's mobile authentication technologies will be integrated with the Good for Enterprise, Good for Government and Good Dynamics platforms to help protect corporate data with strong two-factor authentication for Apple iOS and Android applications.
This will also allow employees to use RSA's SecurID hardware tokens with their mobile devices. Good Technology will also integrate the RSA Authentication Manager and its Secure Authentication Engine technology with the Good Dynamics security application platform, allowing enterprise mobile applications to be created, secured and managed for use with Good for Enterprise and Good for Government.
Nicko van Someren, CTO at Good Technology, said: “Our technology integration with RSA will allow enterprises to deploy enhanced levels of security without increasing complexity, designed to enable a simplified yet secure mobile-user experience that will help enhance employee productivity while keeping corporate information secure.”
Tom Heiser, president of RSA, said: “Enterprises continue to develop and roll out business applications to mobile devices, leaving corporate networks and data open to a new level of multi-layered security threats.
“RSA has been a pioneer in helping companies shape their mobile security strategies and Good is a leader in securing enterprise mobility. Working together we will be able to deliver a gold standard for helping companies secure their network access and protect important information.”
Good Technology has also announced partnerships with Nokia and Windows Mobile. The Good for Enterprise solution will be offered on Lumia devices running the Windows Phone 7.5 ‘Mango' operating system, to protect end-to-end mobile messaging with Good's FIPS-certified 192-bit AES encryption.
