The 2010 Cyber Security Challenge's deadline for applications has been extended by one week, according to the organisers.

The 2010 Cyber Security Challenge's deadline for applications has been extended by one week. The winners of the second annual Cyber Security Challenge will receive a $10,000 cash award, sponsored by BAE Systems and exclusive mentorship by Accenture. The top selected entries from the first round will present their ideas to a panel of judges at the GSC Security Summit in London on Nov 11-12. The judges come from industry, academia, venture capital and government.

This Asian regional finalist of the GSC in 2007 TenCube was purchased by McAfee in a multi-million dollar deal. The CEO of TenCube, Darius Cheung said: “The GSC has been a great opportunity for us to participate in a growing security ecosystem, learn from the experts and other participants, as well as to compete and showcase our innovation.”
