CronLab has announced the launch of a new hosted web filter to enable control of internet traffic within an organisation.
The company claimed that the CronLab Web Filter is a cloud-based security service requiring no local software agent installation that aims to provide the same level of protection for both local and roaming users.
According to the company, the filter block settings can be customised down to the user level and for over 70 different URL categories to reflect a company's specific policy requirements. All access to the web is logged and access to URLs can be completely blocked or permitted after a warning message.
Daniel Axsater, CEO of CronLab, said: “We have created a simple service with no local software agents. We are focussing on flexibility, as rules can be set to a user preference level on what you can and cannot surf on.”
Guy-Edward Waterland, chief commercial officer at CronLab, said: “We are very pleased with the very positive response and strong interest we already have for this new product. The ability to white label the product has also received a very positive response from our partners. We believe we have addressed an increasing customer need with yet another simple, innovative and affordable solution that is a great addition to our offering.”
