InfoGuard and Swisscom have entered into a distribution partnership.

Customers will be able to obtain InfoGuard's data encryption technologies as an integrated service over Swisscom's high-speed networks.

Swisscom is active nationwide, delivering services and products for mobile, fixed and IP-based voice and data communications, while InfoGuard specialises in comprehensive information security for the protection of business processes in industrial enterprises and public authorities.

Both companies have collaborated on various projects such as a solution developed for a Zurich private bank providing a secure link between the bank's computer centre and backup computer centre.

Thomas Meier, managing director of InfoGuard, said: “When cooperating with third parties to deploy our security solutions, we rely exclusively on professional and knowledgeable service providers and resellers. In Swisscom, we have found a highly qualified partner that knows the market extremely well.”

Andreas Gossweiler, head of ICT Security at Swisscom Corporate Business, said: “We can now provide our customers with the opportunity to obtain Gigabit data encryption over our high-speed networks as a service.”
