Salary: £36,018 - £38,721

You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the Force Vetting Co-ordinator and internal Vetting Staff.  You will also be required to identify, develop and implement protective security policies, procedures and systems which contribute to the Force's activities by ensuring they are performed in a secure manner that minimises the risk of compromise.  To instigate measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Force Information Assets.  To assist in driving forward the Force Information Security Strategy.

 

The successful candidate should ideally posses an HND in a relevant subject or an approved equivalent, e.g. IT Security or Information Security also at least 2 years supervisory experience, 3 years relevant professional experience e.g. Management and Practice of Information Security, ideally within a large organization and 1 years admin experience including report writing.  Enhanced keyboard skills e.g. use of spreadsheets, inputting into database systems etc where accuracy is essential but speed is not a key demand would also be expected.
