Information management firm Iron Mountain has been named as a preferred supplier within the government's new £200 million document management framework.
The company has been named as the sole supplier recommended by the Government Procurement Service for the provision for offsite information management services, digitisation, scanning and secure shredding.
Created as part of the government's pledge to deliver efficient and more effective procurement, the new Document Storage and Related Services Framework will see the digitisation and storage of government archive files; Iron Mountain's portfolio of services will be available to all of central and local government as well as the NHS, educational institutions, the emergency services and other public sector bodies.
