An iPhone application has been introduced to allow IT freelancers to have mobile access to job offers.

Offered by GFT, it said that the service will meet the need for high flexibility from this category of professionals, who are permanently busy on-site with regularly changing clients. Called iJobs, IT contractors can search for jobs either by preferred country and location, or by keyword denoting the required skills. Offers that match stored search profiles are sent to prospective candidates by email and can be accessed directly via an iPhone.

Alex Visram, resourcing sales director at GFT, said: “With the iPhone app we can increase our partners' flexibility and offer mobile access to interesting projects with leading companies throughout the world. They are also able to focus entirely on the project in hand as, with this service they can access the relevant contract and invoice data at any time and anywhere.”

Depending upon the status of the freelancers' relationship with GFT, there is also the possibility of querying the status of their current contract and invoice data at any time via My Invoice. This service allows registered partners of GFT's Resourcing division to see, at a glance, whether the invoice has already been checked by the end client and whether GFT has already instructed payment.
