Kaspersky Lab has announced the launch of a business suite to combine mobile device management, encryption and anti-malware.

According to the company, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business enables firms to control and protect the growing range of devices and reduce complexity for over-stretched IT teams.

Its features include malware protection, mobile security and device management, as well as full-disk, file level and folder level data encryption, and all can be managed centrally through the Kaspersky Security Center administrative console.

David Emm, senior regional researcher UK at Kaspersky Lab, said: “We wanted to not just shoot from the hip and launch something to meet needs two years ago, we wanted to look at a proper integration and get different bits working with each other in a smart way.”

Charles Kolodgy, research vice president of secure products at IDC, said: “Over the years Kaspersky Lab has steadily grown in both market sales and in technical capabilities.

“Last year's overhaul of the company's Endpoint Security offerings signalled that Kaspersky Lab was ready to compete for deals of all sizes. By offering critical capabilities such as data encryption, mobile protection and full system security management, Kaspersky Lab is poised to be a contender in almost all purchase considerations.”
