Legal and tax services provider CMS Cameron McKenna has selected CryptoCard's cloud-based authentication solution to ensure secure remote working practices.

According to the company, using the Crypto-MAS (managed authentication server), its 1,650 employees will now be able to access confidential information through their remote devices across its ten UK offices.

Donna Gildea, head of IT at CMS Cameron McKenna, said: “Our legal teams work all hours, across multiple jurisdictions using a growing number of different mobile devices – meaning their ability to access data and files remotely in an absolutely secure manner is critical to the success of our business.

“For us, security of our clients' data is a business imperative, so we needed a solution that could help us achieve the highest standard of security available. For law firms bound by both business commitments and legal requirements to safeguard client data, authentication as a managed service means they can enhance security easily and effectively, ensuring secure remote access without them having to worry about installing equipment or managing the solution on a day-to-day basis.”

Neil Hollister, CEO of CryptoCard, said: “With the arrival of tokenless authentication, service providers like Esselar can now offer two-factor authentication as a commodity offering, enabling law firms such as CMS Cameron McKenna to meet their business and regulatory requirements with the minimum fuss.

“Safeguarding client data is paramount for our legal customers and Crypto-MAS enables them to verify user identities via a low-cost, user-friendly application that works across any number of devices and platforms.”
