LogLogic has announced the launch of a security information event management (SIEM) application through the Apple iTunes store for the iPad.

It said that the LogLogic LMI DashBoard app will connect to a customer's LogLogic ST, LX or MX appliances and remotely monitor and filter PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, NERC, ITIL, ISO, FISMA and other system alerts. Additionally, the app functions as a health dashboard for the customers' IT data logging infrastructure.

Saying that it has recognised the benefits of the iPad as a tool for compliance, security and IT operations, when properly utilised, for some time, and has long championed the need for open APIs and standards within the SIEM market.
