Check Point has introduced an appliance series to complement its software blade architecture.
The Check Point Power-1 11000 series combines the Software Blade Architecture with the latest Intel Xeon 5500 processors to provide unique high performance security gateways. The company claimed that it is the first series to feature simple and flexible field performance upgradeability, providing customers appliance scalability without a forklift upgrade.
The Power-1 11000 series includes the Power-1 11065, 11075 and 11085 models. It offers firewall performance of up to 25Gbps throughput combined with breakthrough intrusion prevention performance of up to 14Gbps, ensuring the availability of vital applications in the most demanding environments.
Dr. Dorit Dor, vice president of products at Check Point, said: “Businesses need flexible, extensible security solutions that perform at high-levels, capable of adapting to today's evolving threats.
