Cortado, a Berlin-based cloud desktop services firm, has launched the latest version of its corporate server to offer mobile device management (MDM) that links to Active Directory.
According to the company, version 6.5 combines MDM and mobile application management (MAM) with file access and sharing.
Carsten Mickeleit, CEO of Cortado, said: “Cortado Corporate Server delivers a complete solution for mobile device management, mobile application management as well as mobile enterprise access and collaboration, eliminating companies' need to build their own solution from a range of individual products. Our new version further simplifies administration, improves team collaboration and increases security.”
The company claimed that this allows groups to not only import groups from Active Directory, but more importantly, ensure that user rights are continuously matched against Active Directory rights.
Policies can be assigned to the imported Active Directory groups to ensure secure working on the go. If new employees are assigned to the groups with mobile rights, or if users change groups, the relevant group settings are automatically assigned.
