Clearswift has announced the release of its content-aware web and email security appliances.
The company claimed that Clearswift Web Appliance 2.0 and Clearswift Email Appliance 3.0 are an integrated solution that protects businesses from spam, malware, data loss, viruses, identity theft, phishing and other network and data threats, enabling them to confidently embrace today's collaborative social networking and Web 2.0 technologies.
The web appliance includes advanced URL filtering that provides granularity of control and protection from malware and phishing, as well as enhanced behavioural reporting.
Meanwhile the email appliance offers personal message management that allows individual users to manage their own ‘trusted' senders list removing IT administration bottlenecks.
Richard Turner, chief executive at Clearswift, said: “These new updates prove we have been listening to our customers, enabling them to innovate through the adoption of social networking and Web 2.0 technologies.
“Today our customers are reaping the rewards from their increasing investment in virtualisation. By deploying the Clearswift appliances virtually they are automatically benefiting from hot migration, scalability and resilience in addition to the obvious cost savings.”
