Security and event management (SIEM) vendor NitroSecurity has launched in the UK with its first local office.
In an effort to expand its international operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the company has opened a new office in Watford. It will be headed up by Peter Christou, vice president for EMEA, who will focus on developing the UK and EMEA business.
The new premises will offer sales, systems engineering and development resources to customers throughout EMEA and support resellers with sales and technical training. The company addresses key compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, GPG13 and ISO 27001, as well as cyber security, with five key security technologies: SIEM; log management; database monitoring; application monitoring; and intrusion prevention.
Christou said: “I am very pleased to announce the opening of our new UK facility. We look forward to working collaboratively with our European customers and partners to address the ever-evolving cyber threat and compliance landscape and jointly develop the industry's first truly real-time security intelligence solutions.”
Andrew Hay, senior analyst of the enterprise security practice at The 451 Group, said: “NitroSecurity is one of the few SIEM vendors with a firm grasp of the challenges faced by forensic investigators and incident responders. The company is aggressively working to provide customers with greater and more granular real-time visibility, and when integrated with the company's blazingly fast database technology, it's an impressive and attractive option for enterprises and critical infrastructure operators.”
