The Northamptonshire Police's new innovative approach to tackle cyber-stalking and online abuse will mean better protection for victims of domestic abuse.
The reason for this new approach is to prevent online offences and bring offenders to justice in an exclusive collaboration that is supposed to be the first of its kind in the UK. Detectives in the force's Cyber Crime Unit will team up with partner agencies and domestic abuse support services to help protect victims.
Detective superintendent Steve Lingley, head of crime for Northamptonshire Police said: “We have a clear message to anyone committing offences online. There is no safe place for you to hide, and you will be made to account for your actions. Northamptonshire Police, along with its partners, will do everything they can to protect and support the vulnerable and prosecute online cyber-stalkers.”
