Clothing brand O'Neill has selected multi-factor authentication solutions from SafeNet to protect its intellectual property.
The deployment of SafeNet's MobilePASS authentication solution will allow O'Neill Europe to offer its employees a variety of flexible and easy-to-use authentication methods on a wide range of mobile devices and platforms, including iPhones and BlackBerrys, Android applications and Java and Windows Mobile-based devices.
According to SafeNet, MobilePASS supports over-the-air installation and enables centralised management of endpoint devices in a secure environment. Coupled with SafeWord's hardware and software multi-factor authentication, O'Neill has extended its existing hardware-based solution to include software mobile solutions without having to change its authentication backend.
Peter Maljaars, head of ICT at O'Neill Europe, said: “Recent data breaches highlighted the need for a multi-layered approach to security with robust policies and strong authentication when accessing resources from mobile devices.
“The deployment of SafeWord and MobilePASS across the company was very straightforward, and the ability to centrally manage our authentication solutions is essential in maintaining control of our data.”
Gary Clark, vice-president of EMEA sales and business operations at SafeNet, said: “We are very excited about working with an established international brand like O'Neill. SafeNet's centrally managed authentication solutions offer the needed security, flexibility and ease of use to ensure full control of their data, while enabling mobile workers to access all company assets on the go.”
