Overtis Systems has sold its solutions division to Digital Barriers.

Overtis Solutions focuses on providing installation and integration of physical security systems including: intercom and access control; CCTV and video analytics; blast and ballistic protection; and perimeter protection. It has been reported that the deal was completed for £3.2 million, although further terms were not disclosed.

Overtis Systems will continue to develop its VigilancePro user activity management software, which enforces policies and provides an audit trail of who accessed, changed, copied, sent or stored data on desktops, servers, laptops and smartphones.

Ed Macnair, CEO of Overtis, said: “Overtis will continue to focus R&D investment on developing user activity management software that combats all forms of computer-based crime by preventing actions that flout security policies and correlating endpoint activity with physical surveillance and access control.

“This will benefit our customers and channel partners by delivering best of breed user activity management products that reduce cost and guarantee compliance with industry regulations such as DPA, PCI DSS, MiFID, HIPAA, SOX and ISO 27001.”
