Manchester United's official Twitter account was reportedly hacked on December 4, shortly after the Premier League champions lost their second successive home match for the first time in 11 years.

The unknown hacker tapped into the Twitter account to demand the sacking of manager David Moyes, tweeting “#MoyesOut”.

The message was subsequently deleted by the club, although not before it had been retweeted almost 600 times.
