Kate Macmillan has been appointed as a director in PwC's cyber-security and data privacy legal team in London.

Macmillan has 20 years of experience in data protection and privacy litigation. She advises clients on the legal implications and risks associated with data breaches and the steps to take to help protect a company's reputation.

“We anticipate a significant increase in regulatory enforcement proceedings and litigation once the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyber-Security Directive come into force next year. PwC is investing heavily in our litigation and contentious capability in Cyber-Security and Data Privacy in order to meet client demands. As one of the leading litigators in the data field, we are delighted Kate is joining us to build out this core area,” said Stewart Room, global head of cyber-security and data protection legal services at PwC.
