Pre-conference tutorial ‘Security Basics.' Monday 11 October, 09.30-16.30. £300 + VAT
Outline ‘Security Basics' is a new, day-long course that explains some of the most important security principles and technologies. It is designed for practitioners with less than three years of information security experience or those new to the field. Taught by leaders in information security, this session will jump-start the week.
As well as providing professionals with the latest intelligence on technology and threats, the RSA Conference is also about developing careers. As part of this, SC editor Paul Fisher will be hosting a panel discussion entitled ‘Developing the Information Security Career', at 15.00 on Tuesday 12 October.
Joining Paul on the panel will be: Flemming Faber, senior adviser, National IT and Telecom Agency; Ian Glover, president, Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers (CREST); Stephen Bonner, head of information risk management (IRM), Barclays Bank; and Chris Batten, managing director, Acumin Consulting.
