RSA has introduced a SecurID software token for the Apple iPhone.

The RSA SecurID Software Token for iPhone enables the smartphone to be used as an RSA SecurID authenticator, providing convenient two-factor authentication to enterprise applications and resources.

It is available from the Apple store at no charge. According to RSA, it is engineered to generate a one-time password that changes every 60 seconds, enabling secure access to enterprise applications and resources. With one tap the user can enable the application with a unique software token seed.

Tom Corn, vice president of product marketing at RSA, said: “We are further demonstrating our commitment to innovation and choice in authentication methods with the availability of the RSA SecurID software token for the iPhone for use within the enterprise.”
