SafeNet has announced the acquisition of two-factor authentication vendor Cryptocard.

The acquisition will expand SafeNet's user authentication division, with Cryptocard's platform used to offer authentication solutions in the portfolio. Combining SafeNet's Trusted Authentication Solutions with Cryptocard's Blackshield Cloud platform, SafeNet's customers will now have access to secure, flexible and cost-effective on-premise and as-a-service solutions. Financial details were not disclosed.
