SafeNet appoint new CEO

Mark A. Floyd has been appointed as chief executive officer of SafeNet.

Mark A. Floyd has been appointed as chief executive officer of SafeNet.

Floyd has previously been the CEO of communications equipment providers Entrisphere and Efficient Networks. He joined the executive management team at SafeNet on 1st July to take up a position that had been vacant since October of 2006.

Chris Fedde, president and COO at SafeNet, said: “Mark brings more than 30 years of executive leadership to our company, with experience that complements our management team and company goals superbly. His successes range from founding his own company to running multi-billion dollar technology organisations to public offerings.

“This is a true case of adding strength to strength, with Mark's expertise and understanding of growing business building on SafeNet's position in the information security market. This is the combination that will meet our strategic goals for SafeNet's future.”
