SC Magazine has announced the launch of its executive network with the BBC's security correspondent Frank Gardner OBE confirmed as the first speaker.
The network, sponsored by Accenture, will be held at One Alfred Place in central London, on the evening of the 12th November, and attendance is by invitation only.
Frank Gardner reports for TV and radio on issues of both domestic and international security, notably on Al Qaeda related terrorism. In 2004, Frank survived being shot six times at close range by Al Qaeda terrorists in the Riyadh suburb of Saudi Arabia.
He was awarded an OBE in June 2005 for services to journalism. His first book, ‘Blood and Sand' reached number three in the Sunday Times bestseller list.
SC Magazine editor, Paul Fisher, said: “The executive network is an exclusive gathering of the top 150 information security professionals in the country. Involved will be a range of the top chief information risk officers and chief information security officers from client companies from across UK industry.
“The aim of it is to share ideas and opinion in a closed network with the members meeting together every four months. We are delighted to host Frank Gardner as our first speaker who I am sure will have plenty of tales to tell.”
