SC Magazine introduces regular TV shows on its website, with SC Studio
The first SC Studio discussion will be broadcast on the 17th September. In the studio will be Nick Lowe, regional director for Northern Europe at Check Point and Simon Langton, head of managed services and operations at Vistorm. SC editor Paul Fisher will quiz the panellists on the relevance of the firewall in the enterprise and whether it is ‘good for end-users or just for vendors' bank accounts?'
Lowe said: “There's no question, the firewall is still the cornerstone of any organisation's security set-up. The network perimeter is no longer easy to see or define, but firewalls are crucial at any point that touches the internet, whether a corporate laptop or the enterprise network edge. You will always need to be able to filter traffic to allow what you need and block what you don't want.
End-users have the chance to challenge the SC Studio guests directly by pre-submitting questions to the panellists. SC editor Paul Fisher, said that it was a unique opportunity for readers and visitors to the SC website to get an insight into topics and gain their questions answered directly by expert commentators.
“This is an exciting innovation for SC and a step forward in terms of how we communicate with our audience. I hope that they will see the benefits in corresponding directly with us and the vendors now, and into the future,” said Fisher.
SC Studio joins the popular SC webcast series and will host a number of events thoughout 2010 as part of the SCTV brand. Those wishing to submit questions should visit the site at http://www.scmagazineuk.com/SC-Studio/section/1096/.
