SC Magazine is to present a conference this summer looking at two key areas for cyber security: targeted cyber attacks and insider threats.

Held on 3rd July 2012 in central London, it is titled ‘Total security: from insider to cyber' and will aim to address the hardest problems in enterprise data security and how to effectively protect against them.

Chaired by Steve Williamson, director of IT risk management at GlaxoSmithKline, speakers will include executives from eBay, Barclays, Transport for London and British American Tobacco.

The day will close with a keynote from the Information Commissioner's Office with an update on the current data security legislations. Dr Simon Rice, principal policy adviser (technology) at the ICO will discuss the latest ICO mandates and changes to these as a result of the consumerisation of it, and how to implement appropriate security measures for personal devices to make sure your workforce remains compliant when on the move.

An end-user only event, the Total Security Threats event will bring together senior IT security professionals to discuss the evolving threat landscape and provide you with essential information on how to manage the current and future security risks associated with internal and external threats.
