Azurati has launched a solution which allows mobile users to access SharePoint via their devices.
Named SharePoint2Go, Azurati said that it offers 256-bit encrypted authentication, single sign-on and mobile VPN, PKI-supported authentication and geo-spatial access control; it allows users to access their mobile SharePoint environment without having to enter any usernames or passwords.
There is also no data or content left on a device to compromise information security policies in the event that mobile devices are misplaced or stolen.
Built using HTML5, SharePoint2Go is provided as a cloud-based service, using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to provide the back-end infrastructure to ensure global, secure and high-availability deployments. It is optimised for any iOS, Android, BlackBerry or Windows Phone device.
CEO Ronan Lavelle said: “This is the first product from Azurati, a new company also announced today, bringing together professionals with expertise across mobile, security, cloud and SharePoint. While there are other vendors attempting to address this market, we believe that ours is the only one that addresses the demands of organisations that want mobile SharePoint access with enterprise-grade security on any smartphone or tablet.”
